About Louis Yazoo

---

Pat and David Lichenstein grew up with fond memories of their father working at the Yazoo dealership before purchasing the business in 1959. He named it Louis’ Yazoo Sales and Service, eventually moving the shop to its current location at 5700 College Street in the heart of Beaumont, Texas. Pat and David both worked alongside their father until graduating high school, learning firsthand the value of hard work, craftsmanship, and customer service.

David later returned to the business and played a key role in establishing Bad Boy Mowers as the primary lawn mower brand sold and serviced here today, helping shape the shop into what it became known for across Southeast Texas.

Following the passing of David Lichenstein in 2024, the business entered a new chapter. In 2025, Larry Poe, a lifelong friend of David’s and someone who shares the same commitment to quality and integrity, proudly acquired Louis’ Yazoo Sales and Service. Larry is dedicated to honoring the legacy built by the Lichenstein family while continuing to provide the exceptional service and support customers have trusted for decades.

Today, Louis’ Yazoo Sales and Service remains a locally owned and operated business, rooted in tradition and focused on serving every customer with the same pride and professionalism that has defined the shop for generations.
